Who I See
LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy
Being Seen as Yourself
I work with LGBTQ+ people who want a place to explore identity, values, and beliefs without fear of judgment. You may be looking for support around identity, or you may have come for something entirely different. I will not assume that one part of who you are explains every concern you bring.
Children, teens, adults, and seniors all have their own ways of speaking about themselves. I want to hear yours. Family may mean relatives, chosen family, or both. The people who matter in your life do not need to fit someone else's definition for us to talk about them.
What We Might Explore
One session might focus on a conversation with someone close to you. Another may make space for a question you have not felt able to say aloud. We can look at the words others have used to describe you and whether those words make room for your own experience.
I may draw on person-centered work to follow what matters to you, and narrative therapy when an old story has become too narrow. Attachment-based or family systems ideas may be helpful when relationships are part of the concern. We decide what fits instead of assuming a standard path.
Your Pace and Your People
You can speak about joy, conflict, loss, ordinary stress, or any combination of them. Therapy does not require you to justify an identity or turn it into the center of every conversation. If family members are part of the work, we can discuss how their involvement fits your needs and the kind of therapy you are seeking.
I want our work to make room for complexity. That includes times when you are confident in who you are and times when you have questions. I can listen without asking you to settle those questions for my comfort.
Connecting With Me
Virtual therapy is available anywhere in Texas. In-home sessions may be possible around Killeen, Copperas Cove, and Temple when meeting there is a good fit for you and the work. We can talk about a setting that feels workable.
Send me a message when you are ready to ask about sessions. I handle scheduling myself, and you can start with a free 15-minute introductory conversation if you'd like. You do not need to explain your whole identity in an inquiry. Tell me what you would like support with, in the words that fit you.
