Online Therapy in Waco, TX

Safety Before Detail

You do not have to tell a complete story of trauma to ask for support. I work with people in Waco who are living with its lasting effects. We can begin with what happens in the present, including the moments you feel on edge or find it hard to settle after something has passed.

Some effects of trauma are easier to name than others. I can listen to what you notice in the middle of an ordinary day and ask what helps you feel steady enough to keep talking.

Working With What Is Here

In a session we might notice a response in your body, pause, and talk about what helps you feel steady enough to continue. Trauma-informed and somatic ideas can be part of that conversation. I also draw on narrative approaches when the words attached to an experience have become difficult to carry.

We might stop at a moment when your body reacts before you have words for it. I will ask what you notice, and we can decide together whether to stay with that moment or move on.

Meeting by Video

I meet Waco clients by secure video while they are in Texas. I have no office there and do not offer in-home therapy there. You can let me know what helps you have privacy during a session.

If you have questions about discussing trauma on screen, we can talk about them before setting a time. I handle my own schedule and will listen to what concerns you about beginning.

The Next Small Step

Send me a message about a present-day effect you want help understanding. You can keep it brief; we can have a free 15-minute introductory conversation first if that feels easier.

You do not have to recount an entire history when you first contact me. A few words about what you are noticing now are enough. I will ask what would make the conversation manageable for you.
