The Question Beneath the Schedule
In a busy season, the question of who you are now can get postponed again and again. I work with adults in Houston facing life transitions and midlife changes. Perhaps you have been responsible for other people for a long time and want somewhere to ask what you need, without being handed another set of expectations.
It may be hard to make room for a question about yourself when other people need your attention. I can ask what has changed recently and which parts of your life still feel like your own.
Following the Thread
A session may start with an ordinary choice that feels surprisingly heavy. We can look at the beliefs attached to that choice and whose voice they sound like. I draw on narrative therapy when a familiar story needs another perspective, and ACT can help us talk about values without pretending uncertainty has disappeared.
We might spend time with a choice you keep postponing. I would ask whose expectations enter that decision and what you would say if no one needed an answer immediately.
Virtual Therapy From Houston
I meet Houston clients by secure video while they are in Texas. I have no office there and do not offer in-home therapy there. We can talk about finding a private place to join.
I arrange my own appointments and can answer questions about how sessions begin. It is fine if what you want to discuss is still taking shape.
The Next Small Step
Send me a message about the question you have been setting aside. If a free 15-minute introductory conversation would help you decide whether to start, we can have one.
If the question under your busy day is about identity or what comes next, tell me that much. You can begin without knowing the answer. I want to hear what has been on your mind.
