What I Help With

Therapy for Depression

Beginning With Survival

Depression can make ordinary tasks feel impossibly heavy. You may be getting through work and family responsibilities while feeling empty, or you may be struggling to get through the day at all. Both experiences deserve to be taken seriously.

I believe therapy often begins with survival. We can focus first on safety, stability, and ways to cope. Growth does not have to be the first assignment when keeping your footing takes everything you have.

What Sessions Can Hold

We may look at the thoughts that pull you lower, the routines that have disappeared, or the relationships that feel harder to reach. CBT and DBT skills can add structure, while compassion focused and person-centered work can make room for the parts of depression that are difficult to say aloud.

The pace is not set by a worksheet. We adjust based on your energy, your circumstances, and what is manageable that week. When there is more steadiness, the work can open toward connection, meaning, and the life you want to build.

Finding a Little More Ground

A session may begin by checking what has become harder since we last spoke. Together, we can choose one piece that needs attention rather than treating the entire week as one impossible problem. We may build a basic routine, identify support, or practice getting through a difficult hour. The work stays connected to what you can realistically do right now.

Meeting Without Another Hurdle

I meet virtually with clients located anywhere in Texas. In-home therapy may be available around Killeen, Copperas Cove, and Temple when leaving home adds another barrier and the arrangement fits the work.

My Approach explains the relationship-based foundation I bring to sessions. Individual Therapy includes depression alongside other concerns that often overlap with it.

A Small First Move

Your first message can be short. Tell me that depression has been making things hard, and I will respond about possible times. I schedule every client myself rather than sending you to an online calendar.

A free 15-minute introductory conversation is available before scheduling if talking first feels more manageable. You can ask what you need to know without having your whole story ready.

Start with the part of today you can name.
