What I Help With
Support for Bipolar Disorder
Therapy Alongside Medical Care
I provide therapy support for people living with bipolar disorder. This work belongs alongside the medical care you receive from your prescriber or other medical provider, not in place of it.
I am not a prescriber. I do not manage medication. In our sessions, we can focus on the daily patterns, practical skills, routines, and relationships that are part of living with bipolar disorder.
Steady, Practical Work
We may track what affects sleep and energy, talk through changes you have noticed, or practice language for bringing concerns to your care team. Relationships can also need attention when other people do not understand what you are experiencing.
CBT, DBT skills, mindfulness-based work, and a person-centered approach may be useful depending on what is happening. I do not promise a particular outcome or ask one model to explain your whole life.
Noticing Patterns Early
Therapy can support the careful observation that medical care often depends on. We may notice changes in routine, strain in a relationship, or situations that make it harder to use the plan you developed with your provider. I can help you prepare questions and communicate clearly with your care team. Medication decisions remain between you and the professional who prescribes it. We can keep the therapy work grounded in daily life.
Ways to Meet
Virtual therapy is open to clients anywhere in Texas. In-home appointments around Killeen, Copperas Cove, and Temple may be considered when that format is appropriate for the client and the work.
My Approach describes how I choose among different methods. The Individual Therapy page gives more context for working with mood, stress, identity, and relationship concerns.
Coordinating the Next Step
Use the contact form to share that you are looking for therapy alongside your current medical care. I arrange my own calendar and will talk with you directly about availability.
You are welcome to start with a free 15-minute introductory conversation before scheduling. It can give us a chance to discuss what support you are seeking and what therapy can reasonably address.
