What I Help With
Therapy for Anxiety
Anxiety at Any Age
Anxiety can show up in children, teens, adults, and seniors. It may look like worry that will not let go, a body that stays on alert, avoiding ordinary situations, or thinking through every possible outcome before making one small decision.
I start with the person in front of me. A child who dreads school needs something different from an adult who cannot turn off work thoughts at night. We make room for the way anxiety actually appears in your life.
Skills and Understanding
Some sessions are practical. We may slow down a racing moment, notice what happens in your body, or test a thought that keeps repeating. CBT, mindfulness-based work, and somatic approaches can offer useful ways to understand those patterns.
Skills are only part of the work. We can also get curious about where the anxiety comes from and what it has been trying to do for you. A person-centered approach keeps your experience, goals, and pace at the center.
What We May Practice
We might map one anxious loop from the first physical signal through the thought that follows it. Then we can try a response that is small enough to use in real life. With children, that practice may involve drawing, movement, or simple language. Adults may bring a work email, a social situation, or the nighttime thought that will not settle.
A Place That Fits
Virtual therapy is available anywhere in Texas. In-home sessions may be possible around Killeen, Copperas Cove, and Temple when meeting in your space is a good fit for you and for the work.
You can read more about how I work on My Approach and explore Individual Therapy for a broader view of adult support. Parents can also begin here when anxiety is affecting a child or teen.
Getting Started
Send a message and tell me what has been happening. I handle my own scheduling, so I can consider what works for both of us. You can start with a free 15-minute introductory conversation if you'd like.
You do not need a polished explanation. A few plain sentences about what anxiety has been interrupting are enough to begin the conversation.
